Bought a 17 for my wife's Birthday It has 29k miles. Bought it, brought it home, tinted the windows, and tried to take it to friends (all in one day)

I pulled out of my driveway, put it in sport mode and got on it. It subsequently stalled went into limp mode, and when I turn pulled to the side and turned it off, it wouldn't start.
I called Ford road side and had it towed

We enjoyed it for $300 miles total, and that was in one day driving back from dealer

Sounds like a bad battery. These cars are really sensitive to things like that.

Welcome! Could be any number of things, the 1st place to look is codes set in the PCM. Every modern car should carry with it a quality OBD II adapter, and have in it a smartphone/tablet that has diagnostic software like Torque Pro or Forscan Lite loaded. Essential tools for the modern vehicle.

Presumably there is an error code that will not allow the vehicle to start, we have run into this in the past.

Thanks for the responses. I was exhausted after the drive, and I crashed shortly after this post.

It was a bad day that started off well. The wife and I took off work and drove 600 miles round trip for the car, stopped and got it tinted, and we had just made it home and stopped to wash it before showing friends.

I got in it, dropped into sport, and I got on the throttle. It sputtered, stalled, and went into limp mode. I thought perhaps if I turned it off, I could clear it.

From that point on, it would only turn over and never fire.

The dealership I towed it to won't open until Tuesday.

It is MEMORIAL day, so I'll keep some perspective. It's just a car.

The seller probably knows exactly what is wrong and what it took to cover up the problem to sell the car. Ask them.

That may very well be true, but once I handed him money and signed the papers, it became my problem.

In the event anyone runs across these symptoms and codes, Fords diagnosis is a Fuel Pressure Sensor Failure.

Will be be able to pick up today or tomorrow morning.

Battery was a result of tow. The Shift Lock was bypassed. Subsequently, the switch was damaged, and the vehicle didn't register Park and had an amp draw.

Ford fixed that too at no cost. It's a separate document.

I had a mini heart attack when I decided to accelerate a little too fast and my CEL came on. Haven't had any issues since then (over a week ago), but I'm still getting the code pulled on Tuesday, if it's in the system. I've read that sometimes the code doesn't store if it's only there for a brief period of time. I could be mistaken, I'll have to double check.

Yes some codes are temporary and get erased upon restart. Could have been a misfire.

Invest in an OBD reader and Torque Pro. Don't wait for others to tell you what u can find out 4 yourself.
