There is no hose or vacuum connection on the BAP sensor for the SHO. It just vents to atmosphere. The picture you have linked is correct.

MAP sensor would connect with a hose as it relates to manifold pressure. BAP is barometric pressure

No MAP on Gens 1-3, only MAF. Since you have a 91 MTX, that would be a MAF.

There should be a sleeve over the vacuum ****** on the sensor.

MAF vs MAP vs BAP ??

No MAP on Gens 1-3, only MAF. Since you have a 91 MTX, that would be a MAF.

No expert here, but there seems to be some confusion between a mass air flow (MAF) meter and sensor (this sensor bolts into the mass air flow meter that's located on the exit from the air cleaner box) and a barometric absolute pressure (BAP) sensor, which is located on the firewall, at least on my '92.

From what I've seen and read about, Ford auto (not truck) fuel injector systems were manifold absolute pressure (MAP) systems, sometimes known as speed density systems (?) until around 1988. Then many/most Ford passenger cars were changed to a mass air flow (MAF) system.

So, where then would the/a MAP sensor be located? My BAP sensor (which I replaced a couple of years after an error code) did not have a vacuum hose connected or anywhere in sight when I replaced it. Hope I'm not contributing much to any confusion (other than my own :naughty:).
