I need new pads and rotors for my 2010 SHO.

I live in Pittsburgh so I deal with pretty much every weather imaginable and we are about to head into snow season here.

I really know ZERO about cars. I just want to get the best brake pads and rotors available for my car.

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks!

Does your SHO have the performance package? You can pull up the window sticker online to check. The only difference is brake pads, which should fit the non-PP SHO's as well if you want to upgrade.

For example, look under "optional equipment" in this example, you will see the items in the Perf Pkg listed:

If the above link does not work, the one below might:

It is a good time to upgrade to aftermarket pads, EBC being heavily favored.

If you want to do the whole setup, and don't mind drilled/slotted rotors, Power Stop is very budget-friendly, and great for DD SHO's. EBC has kits as well, worth looking into.

Top pad = non-PP, Bottom Pad = PP

Take the opportunity to a) flush & fill the brake fluid, b) grease the caliper bolts/slide pins, and c) optionally paint the calipers :D

The caliper piston in the rears has to be "unscrewed" to remove, it does not come straight out like the fronts do. Best to do it with a special tool, usually available for rent from chain auto stores.

I bought the powerstop kit but what I am seeing here is that I got the pads for the PP. And my car is non PP. Could that cause an issue ?

Power Stop doesn't list a PP kit as such. EBC does (pads), and the PP pads fit fine on the non-PP setup.
