Hi, I'm new here. Just bought a '93 SHO ATX and love it except for the fact it rides like a Lincoln Town Car over bumps. The struts are shot and I'm wanting to get Koni adjustables and Eibach springs. Does anyone have advice on who to order through and any part numbers?

I was going to place an order but the part number I had was for Koni inserts, not the actual strut. I'm new to the SHO's suspension and am unclear as o what I need to order. Thanks, Mike

One more thing- how much will my camber be affected with this set-up? Do I need camber plates, who sells them?

One stop shopping at Nook's place. http://www.prosuspension.com
Quality parts at good prices and a SHO owner too.

The koni for these cars only come in the insert format. So, you'll have to do some cutting and gutting of your strut housings or pay someone to do it for you. I'm sure Nook can answer any of those questions and more.

Thanks for the reply-they look like they have some pretty decent prices.

How difficult is the strut insert installation and what is the process to do it? I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I've installed springs/struts/shocks into my Mustang, but never on a SHO. I also have acces to a spring compressor, any other specialty tools I'd need?

You'll need a centerpunch, hack saw, 1/8" drill bit and 9/16" drill bit, as well as a metric ruler. The instructions are included with the strut cartridges, but the gist is you drill the 1/8" hole in the bottom, tape it over, cut the top off and remove the old cartridge. Then you dump the fluid out, enlarge that bottom hole to 9/16", grind off a little nub near the top of the housing, then you just drop the insert in, and bolt it down. not too hard to do.
