tell her the hose is dry rotted on ur stock one the filter is bad and needs replaced.........meanin its just cheaper to get a upgraded one instead of replacing all the worn out stock parts, usually works for me....

after checkin the new posts i seen what u ment.......tell her ur gaskets r rotted and u got one heck of a vacuum leak now cuz of it, its a **** of a deal, plus a mod ......not to mention ur intake is prolly fairly gummed up with carbon build up

Leave a car magazine on the coffee table, opened up to the want ads in the back. In red, circle a couple of expensive cars. When she asks you about it, tell her you can't decide whether you should fix up the SHO with a newer intake system or just buy another car.

Yea but with the new gasoline additives that the governments clean air act mandated, your older car isn't liking it.. you need more air in the system to flush that crap out, and get better gas mileage. It should pay for itself.. Your older car is one they give "cash for clunkers" because it dosen't get enough air. Thats why the new SHO has 2 turbos.


Think that'll work? lol You'll be selling a bridge to her... whatever you think you can get away with.. and I don't think there are any additives, just sounded like something that might go over well. Start another thread, and we will all tell you how you need to do it, then print it out and show it to her. lol

Tell her a new intake is WAY cheaper than a monthly car payment and your saving money in the long run. When im in that situation, i just try to revert it into how your going to save money and that seems to work. Its not lying, its just the truth in a drawn out way worded to your advantage. Im not married, but girlfriends can do the same to you.

This thread scares me from marriage. My car depends on me being single.
