Hey kids... I need help with two codes that I pulled this afternoon.
542 - (O,M) Fuel pump open, bad ground or always on
543 - (O) Fuel pump monitor circuit shows no power
What could these codes indicate? The car kind of bucks when I'm cruising at any speed. It feels sort of like a miss, and now it feels like it's fighting to rev and shifiting lower and I know it's because I'm running out power. So what to do?
I also get this code: 211 - (M) Ignition PIP signal was erratic or missing
Now typically I would say right away that this were the cause of all my problems, but now the zinger, this is a Vulcan with a distributor. No CPS... makes ya think.
Any help offered is great. I'm posting this here because I know that people's knowledge of engines is not limited to just SHO's. Thanks in advance.
