Changing my rear rotor just curious how long does it take normally to retract the piston back in the calper.

The piston must be rotated and pushed back into the rear caliper at the same time. The is a caliper retracting kit available for rent from AutoZone. Get it, you'll need it.

P.S. Make sure the dust boot doesn't get twisted or torn. I don't think rebuild kits are available for calipers with integrated parking brakes. New ones are considerably more expensive than the front calipers.
