Sorry im not really sure where to post this so ill throw it in here. mods u can move if u must :p
anyways

about 2 weeks ago i put the Midwest SHO intake on my car, it was going great then it started to rain about a week later.
Car seemed to act as if the intake was sucking up water, it evantually stopped raining but the problem DID not go away! as u take off itll kind of **** when ur going threw the RPM's around 2000 rpms-2700 RPM it will jump even if driveing along at 35 MPH in 4th. just shutter an stuff. then it'll disapear intil u hit around 3700-to like 5500. just keeps jumping trying to hold back. itll also tend to skip at the same rpms if im just sitting in neutral and i rev. it.
Figgured maybe its my MAF i took out the old one and installe another. took it for a test ride same thing is happening :( and after it jumps/skips/spudders what ever u want to call it the CE comes on.but i can shut the car off and the CE go's rite away??????
it has new plugs wires an spark plug well seals so i dought its any of those.
maybe DIS? or CPS? ETC? what do u guys think?!
Can anyone help at all!?!?! i dont know what elcse to check.

thanks to all who re-ply the sooner the better!

I would pull codes and see what you get. It sounds like you are having a missfire, i would check the DIS. But if is only doing this when it rains then i would remove the midwest intake and drive with your stock intake for awile just to see what happens.

Ok, first things first. Stop the idea of going to order parts for now.

1. Run your codes. There are tons of people with instructions on how to do this if you aren't familiar with how to do that. Your car is trying to tell you something with the CE light and you could end up spending hundreds of dollars for nothing.

2. Go back and check everything that you touched when you did the work. Double and triple check any electrical connections and vacuum connections. Make sure that they're all plugged into the proper areas. If you listen hard enough many times you can hear vacuum leaks. Other times finding one can be as simple as taking a lit cigarette near the connnections and watching the smoke. As far as I'm concerned this is the only good use for a cigarette. Obviously this won't be as effective outside on a breezy day.

Spend a few extra minutes to run your codes, it could save you some money in the long run. I've heard of so many people running out immediately buying this part and that part because it "might be" that part. See what your car says first.....then go buy your parts.
