hey i took my car to a shop because i needed new motormounts, crank sensor and my ac. alt. belt keeps poping off. well the shop said my ac mounting braket for the compress broke thats why the belt keeps poping off. ok well they cant get a new braket nor find one at a junk yard. would it be wise to just get the ac deleate kit and put that on? im not worried about cold air or anything im going for performance. is this a good idea. any help or input would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You can go that route. I dont know if they would be willing to install it though being that you have to unhook the AC lines to the compressor I would think.

it's a cast iron bracket...I've broke two of em without an AC compressor to hold em together. the fact that you broke one with the AC compressor on there tells me you need to stop beating on your car so bad. AC delete kit probably won't help you much.....just need to search around on the forum and junkyards to see if you can find a new bracket. put the new bracket on, gut your AC compressor (only weighs like 2lbs gutted), and stop doing high RPM clutch drops.
