Need help! 93 SHO timing belt nightmare

I recently aquired a 1993 SHO, ATX. it need a new water pump and timing belt. having some serious problems gettin the thing to run with out the belt slipping. i get everything lined up, button it back up and it wil run a few seconds then dead? afetr checking the belt, it has slipped of the marks.

also does anyone know where to get the timing belt tension pulley adjuster??

also, also anybody out there live in the Maryland area or no anyone in the area that might be interested in helping me out??????

Please help me :hail: , or there is going to be a green SHO in my neighbors yard as a flower ***!

Once the motor runs the marks will not line up anymore. So, it is normal for it not to line up. Is it skipping teeth? How tight is the belt? Did you remove or replace the CPS sensor, if so did you gap it correctly? If you replaced the water pump and did not remove the CPS you might have destroyed it. If you lined up the marks on the belt before you fired it and the belt is tight, I don't think that is your problem.

Once the motor turns, the marks on the belt will no longer line up with the marks on the sprockets.

If the timing belt is truly slipping, then you probably have a tensioner issue, or you released tension on the eccentric pulley.

1: Is the tensioner working properly? You should not be able to push the piston in without the assistance of a vise. If you ratchet back on the tensioner piston using a wrench on the 14mm bolt, you should not be able to get it to move.

2: Are you actually tensioning the belt correctly?

Thanks Everybody. I Dont Know Wtf I Have Done To It. Guess I Better Find Someone Who Does Know Wtf They Are Doing.
