Hi all,
I'm new to SHOForum but have been autox'ing my car for several years. Only a couple of the local SHO types have ever come to the events. There are some guys into track days (we refer to them as "crack days" because they're addicting!). But I like the smaller amount of time that autocross takes.
I run in the SCCA events so the mods have been limited to what is legal in their classes. Currently running Street Touring X. It's taken a long time but I've finally beaten all but one of the local Subie drivers.
My mods are on my personal webpage,
http://www.calweb.com/~pault/BaySHO/PTSHO.htm
My car is still my daily driver so I have not gone the coilover route. But I'm interested in hearing more about those.
It was interesting seeing the posts about WWSCC. We just had a guy move down here, I think he was running up there (An Nguyen) and he's very good. Ran a Talon-type DSM anyway, also has a BMW.
OK, like that wasn't enough subjects, is the SHO Club convention still on for 2008 up in Washington? I have come up for the SCCA National Tour autocross in Packwood once; beautiful asphalt, but maybe too far from the populated areas for a venue for the convention.
I will try to get on here more often to see what y'all have to say.
