then it is probably your fluid pump if you dont hear anything, but you have nothing to lose by cleaning the contacts inside the switch

Odds are it's the pump, I have one for sale in my classifieds I think. But pull the plug off and have someone press the button and see if the car is sending the signal to the pump by putting a meter on it and measuring the voltage. If it gets voltage you know its the pump, if not some mouse probably chewed a wire or some stupid crap.

If the pump is running, another thing you can check is seeing if the fluid is getting to the jets. A fluid line may have come loose. See if there are any evidence of wiper fluid around the firewall area. I have also seen the situation arise where someone has gone overboard with some of these new sealer liquid wax products. The product gets down inside the jet orifices and harden up to the point the washer fluid won't flow. These are just a few things I have seen happen.

Actually a new pump might be cheap as **** from a parts store. Then you get a nice new pump instead of a used one I have who will last who knows how long.

My pump wouldn't work because I forgot to plug it after checking for leaks in the coolant reservoir.

Is it plugged in?

I vote for the MFS (multifunction switch, or turn signal stalk). My 94 had the same problem.

If you ever take the MFS apart, you'll see how it works and it is possible for the wiper motor to get power, but not the fluid pump.
