Actually I basically copied the grille from NJshofear. Just can't decide which goes better.

What do you think? I like both, and can't decide.

Now that I actually look at the pics, I realize you can't see the mesh. The black is mesh too, not just open.

Not bad Chris. I like the top one and the jury's still out for #2. Need a better pic. Did you make these yourself or is this photoshop?

No photoshopping. I made the grill yesterday, only took me about an hour. Here's a better pic of the black mesh. Thanks for all the opinions.

And ShoGuy93: I think it would look cool on a gen 2, since there aren't very many options to do anything with the gen 2 grill.

Nice. I still like the white one a little better but the black mesh isn't bad. I like the white emblem there too.

Hey Chris, what type of mesh is that you used?
It is "Gutter Guard" for covering up your gutters. Found at a hardware store. I was going to go with metal, but figured it would be hard to cut.

Good work for such a short amount of time.
I honestly don't think either version complements the front face of the car, but to each his own. You might want to try & get a hold of some brushed aluminum similar to the grills you now see on the full size GMC sport utilities (solid with big holes). I think that would look very good.
BTW what happened to the top edge? Is it flexing due to the amount of material removed?

How about painting the gutter guard mesh white?
The first white one looks like it belongs on a home radiator vent...not your car

I personally like the white. The black looks kind of wierd on a white car. So how did you do the cutting? With a dremel or something else?

I think I will go with white/white, at least for a while. I like it:

JonVH: I don't think it's flexing, I think that's just the way I took the picture.

93nighthawk: Yes, used a dremel.

Thanks for all the opinions! :D
