My cable shifter fix...

Yeah, so the cable on my shifter fell off the ball joint on the shifter rod itself. Luckily someone on the board pointed this out to me when I described the problem and aftermath... Well, I found an EASY fix that seems to hold well for now. I'll be putting my rod shifter in eventually, but till then... A zip tie... thats right, a zip tie. I love the simple stuff. See?

on my gen 1 i have a zip tie outside underneath, at another shift joint.its lasted over a year!!!theres also a little prob that i fixed with a yellow wire connector there too.and you know it has nada to do with any type a wire!!!

Yeah I did the ziptie thing for a while on my first SHO. Just make sure you leave the shifter boot off and keep a spare supply of zipties in your car untill you get a rod shifter in that thing. Thats all im sayin.

Holding it together on the shifter itself under the shift boot.


And everyone, yeah. This is a temporary fix. I'm gonna put the rod shifter in soon, just gotta get the stuff to to it. All I have is the Rod dhifter itself, no brackets... Plus, I need some money. :laugh_ti:

Nice setup you got there sir. TYSHO is the one that reccomended(along w/superchargedSHOguy) about that rubber heater hose fix too. Just in case you go through 234987345 zip ties

Yeah, but the ziptie is just so dang easy to apply! Actually, the SHO is a secondary vehicle till my truck sells, so no need to do that YET... Working on getting it set up to do the Rod Shifter once my insurance check comes in.
