I went to the track last Wednesday Night.
The temp was 65 degrees, the elevation is about 1300 feet above sea level ( SpeedWorld in Surprise, AZ )
My first run, which was about a 1/2 hour after the 75 mile drive to the track, was crappy.
1) R/T .520
2) 60 ft. 2.424
3) 1000 ft. 6.764
4) 1/8 mi 10.310 @ 70.324 mph
5) 1/4 mile 15.932 @ 87.280
next run, about 1 hour later ( iced the intake to cool the car down, which was kinda warm, I thought )
1) .576
2) 2.410
3) 6.705
4) 10.209 @ 71.075
5) 15.784 @ 87.871 mph
3rd run, this time, I blasted the heat on to 90 and kept it there until I was up to run, this kept the car nice and cool ( the intake was warm to the touch from this run up through the next two, until I just ran it normally )
1) .386 ( red light, DOH! )
2) 2.347
3) 6.581
4) 10.050 @ 71.830
5) 15.56 @ 88.951
Best run of the night, I'm a little more happy now...
4th run
1) .580
2) 2.373
3) 6.612
4) 10.084 @ 71.749
5) 15.607 @ 88.885 mph
This was the run where I was up against a new 2 dr GTP that pulled a 15.153 @ 91.6 mph.
Pesky little bastage, wait until I get forced induction!!!!!
5th and final run
1) .876
2) 2.434
3) 6.718
4) 10.222 @ 71.144
5) 15.777 @ 88.386
I can't get to that 15.1 that you did, but this was with my car at regular pressure, regular gas, regular equipment in the vehicle, seats, spare and my fat a$$.
So it seems that a cool SHO is a faster SHO. GTP's are quicker than us, and it took me half the track to pull on a 2001 F-150 SuperCrew Harley Davidson Edition with exhaust work, Diablo chip and open cone filter.
I also learned that Speedworld is one cool track, for all you, AZ SHo owners out there to enjoy.
