Shoaz
Studly dood
I actually can't remember in which thread this came up, but I contacted Multimatic about how they had their Firehawk championship winning SHO setup. This is the response I got:
Eric,
Sorry for the delay on this but we had to go through some old set-up notes to get the information requested.
Front Spring - 350lb
Rear Spring - 400lb
Ride heights are in the 4" to 5.5" in the rear.
Rear Bar - I don't know the rate but the bar is made of 38mm OD with a wall thickness of 0.330". Lever arm length is 6" from the center of the tube to the middle hole of 3 for adjustability.
Front bar - production SHO.
Struts - we used off the shelf Koni adjustable inserts installed in adjustable spring tubes. Bushings are production as per the rules of that time.
Anything else...let me know please.
thanks,
Sean

Pretty interesting, I think, and not what I'd expected. Big friggin' rear bar, too.
I suspect some of the reason for the rear stiffness was that they were running an open diff...this was pre-Quaife era.
