Mustang GT calipers + 11.6" = possible?

I've been searching through the forum for the while, and I haven't found any threads that really answer my question. I have the 96 upgrade - the brackets, rotors, and pads. I am about to buy two '99 GT calipers and I was thinking they were cobra calipers (it said PBR ) but they aren't. I have gathered from the forum that the cobra calipers will work with 11.6" rotors and GT calipers will work with 10.9" rotors, but will the GT calipers with 11.6" rotors? I have the brackets and calipers.

Can I use the FN76 brackets with the GT calipers? Will I have to modify them? Will I have to modify the GT brackets? I'm so confuuuuuuuuuuused!!!!!!!!!

Nope, the mustang calipers won't work with the FN74 brackets. The mustang brakets are a different size and won't clear the rotor when bolted to the spindle(You wouldn't be able to even bolt it on though).

Either don't buy them, or maybe run them on your wifes car if she doesn't have a brake upgrade. I don't think they're any better then the 96 upgrade considering the considerable drop in size of the rotor.

hmm... my fears exactly. Crap. Well, then, is it much of an upgrade over stock calipers on stock rotors? I think I might just put them on my wife's car. I would think so, being alum. and 2-***...

Do the mach 1 over 11.6. You'll shoot yourself if you don't.

Yar, I can't afford 17" wheels AND 17" tires to do the 13" brakes. So for now it's 11.6" for me. I have everything I need, just waiting for the SS lines to get in today.. The Cobra calipers will have to wait 'til christmas, I suppose :cry:.
