hey guys. basically the only problem im having regarding the multfunction switch is that my wipers are 'touchy'. when you twist to get them on, sometimes they wont go, and then you wiggle and hold the tip of the stalk and they go to work.

now i got a brand new(clean, fresh grease), in the motorcraft box mutifunction switch with the car from the past owner, (father worked in the service dept of a dealer), i put it in yesterday and all is the same! really seems to be in the switch...how could pressing the end of a good switch cause a connection failure at another point? or is it possible this brand new switch is bad....causing the exact same symptoms as the dirty (not really dirty, just noticibly used), original MFS?

anyone have this issue, and fixed it? im going to be guessing cleaning the contacts at the wiper motor...

It might be the "interval governor" located behind the center of the instrument panel, on the left-hand vertical brace.

Yeah, I would look at the WCM (Wiper Control Module), and also at the position sensor, which is located on the wiper motor itself.

well i wiggled all the wires with the car running and wipers on the high delay (it always happens on the delay settings), and it didnt change a thing...that meaning they havent cut out yet...maybe there was a loose wire/connection...but i wont know till i need to use the wipers again! we'll see.
