Ok, when I first bought her I noticed that the mufflers looked low but after looking at a ton more now I really haven't seen any like mine...I'd really appreciate the input on this whats the deal? Are they to low, wrong or what?

If they're in palce well and not moving around too much I'd say they're good. Are the hangers broken? did you just have that put on?

Yeah those are very low... they also don't have any tips on them which could be why they are so low. The place that put them on might have set them at that height so the exhaust would clear the bumper, but usually they are up a bit higher. Now that I look at a picture of mine I think they are just the wrong sized mufflers.

Yeah it's dirty and the pipes are level now, but it'll give you an idea of where should sit and what it should look like.

Um if you do a search for Summit Turbo (i think that's their name) you can probably get the part # right of the forum. Summit sells them for something like $20 each if you are looking for a good cheap replacement. I haven't heard anything bad about them.

NY for now, WY for real
Summit also sells tips that you weld onto the end of the muffler for $20 apiece that bend down. They come in 2.5 or 3" diameters..

I need some.. :D

Had mine done yeaterday. They do look low or even wrong. If you go to an exhaust shop they will be able to match mufflers and bend the tail pipes for a good fit. I dont see the mufflers on mine just the tailpipes out the back. The guy put on glasspacks that fit awesome probably not correct but a **** of a nice sound and I finally have some back pressure. Where I took my car they saved me over 200 bucks from every other quote. The guy said the stock pipe is awesome and they usually never rot out. I have to believe him as the car has been in Buffalo its whole life and both mufflers and tailpipes were shot.
