MTX replacement

how hard is it to put a new trans in a 91 sho??? how strong is the stock mtx??? would it be worth to but a used mtx?? were can u find a used mtx??and last but not least is the mtx a specific trans to the sho???

Its not that hard to install a tranny just time consuming. Helps to have a helper.
The stock Diff is the weakest link will not last if burn outs are done.
A used MTX is about your only option if you blew up the other one.
And yeah the SHO is the only car that you will find a replacement in.

Check the classified section here or look on ebay. Call local junkyards or search on http://car-part.com <-- this site lists 2 options "cable shift" and "rod shift". Both trannys are exactly the same so search under both.
