MTX Cruise Control 89-95 same..??

G'day...quick question..are all mtx cruise control systems the same..just want to make sure prior to buying..thanks

Nope... 92 and older are one setup, and 93+ is another... newer is electronic, older is not.

Reason #2 I should pull both dashes when I do my swap.

I guess what I should have asked was...the vacuum can or what ever you call it that drives the cable to throttle...mine is split at the seam..had some sort of V clamp holding the 2 halves together is rotted off and i guess that's where i have a leak...just wanted to make sure that part is same on all mtx models

Should be as long as its pre 93.

lol i guess not.. maybe I am.. I just know the 93+ are electronic controled.. and didn't figure they needed a vac at all.. obviously I'm wrong I guess....

I'm fairly positive that the 89-95 MTX is vacuum controlled, and the 93-95 ATX is electronically controlled, hence the recall only for the ATX, not the MTX

My 93 and my buddies 89 both have massive vacuum actuators attached with cables to the throttle body. My bet is that they're the same but I haven't checked, they're both MTXs

I think they are the same for all MTX SHOs.

Thanks guys...I think the actuators are the same...might be slight differences in the electronics over the years, but that big vacuum canister and cable to throttle look the same..i'll pick one up ...thanks again..!!
