Ok guys, I'm gonna pick your brains. I'm not an idiot, I work on this crap for a living, so rule out the obvious. (just letting you know that up front) My dad has a 95 ATX car, this car has 95k miles, has had the 60k done at 80k, new secondary ign, o2's, cam sensor, dpfe, BG air induction, BG fuel injector flush, etc etc.. otherwise very well maintained. Recently the fuel mileage went from around 22 to 14, then up to around 18 and it has been fluctuating quite a bit. He does NOT drive this car hard at all. The only symptoms I recieved while driving it for 2 weeks myself was, while in lockup at 60-65 mph, giving it all the throttle you can give it without kicking out of lockup is a small misfire, and CEL. But when I tried to get codes.. Imagine that... NONE. So I put the scanner in wiggle mode and drove it for 2 days, nothing with the scanner hooked up, ran fine, no codes, no driveabilty problems. Thats when I checked egr function (normal), Fuel pressure (normal), CMP, CKP sensors for abnormal waveforms (snap on vantage). I've been all over this thing, even pulled the injectors and ohmed them to see.. no problems found. The only thing that I have not checked yet (which JUST popped into my head as I was writing this, was to pull the balancer and look for crank cancer. Which I may do Wed. Any help would be appreciated very much.

Did you repalce the engine coolant temp sensor (ECT)? It's NOT the sensor for the gauge but for the computer. An old one can make the car run rich and therefore make fuel mileage ******. At $20 it would be good to replace it.
