I put an all new suspension in my SHO about 6k ago. This included all new mounts (Ford Police), all TPR bushings, 24/26 combo, MOOG spings and KYB struts, and LCA's. I did not cut the springs when I installed them, I am now wishing I did. I have rather happy with the rear ride height however, with the front it is way too high. Along with that the KYB's have gotten considerably more 'bouncy' and it has come to the point that I do not like them anymore (this is in the front only). So, I am going to be pulling it apart, cutting the 1.5 of the coil off and installing new struts. I am tempted to put in a set of Tokico's but, being a college student I don't know if the budget will cut it. So, I am looking at Monroe Sensa-Tracs or Motorcraft SHO specific struts. Between the Monore's and the Motorcraft SHO specific struts which would provide a better ride and longevity with the cut springs?

I searched and didn't find a lot of info on the Motorcraft SHO specific struts...

Thanx, Doug

SHO specific struts were good when they were available. As far as I know, they are not available now. If you try to order them from a dealer, you get SLO struts. Been there, don't try it :frown: .

I believe cutting the coils increases the spring rate, so stiffer struts will be even more important. I would get the Tokicos if I could swing it at all. How about doing the fronts only for a short term solution? Also, do a search on cut Moogs, several have listed their combinations.
