Anybody know for sure the correct Motorcraft PN for the ECT sensor? The problem is Motorcraft catalog lists DY303, Rockauto lists DY1145, and another catalog lists DY681. All cross to Ford E4AF-12A648-AA.

they are all correct Bob. DY303 changed to DY681, which now a few months ago, changed to DY1145. DY303 or DY681 will look like the original. DY1145 has the new style connector on it and will come with a wiring pigtail to change it over. hope that helps....

Many thanks for that information SHORANGERBIRD. About the DY1145 pigtail -- Does that transition the square connector on the sensor to the old rounded connector on the harness, or must one cut the rounded connector off of the harness and splice the pigtail on?

yeah, cut the connector off the harness and splice in the new one....if your anywhere near Charlottesville, see ole Roland down at Battlefield Ford on your parts. know him, talk back and forth with him some, but been a while and my family vacations alot up around the Massanutten area, so he's a great guy if your local to him...
