SDPATT~ (I can't remember if you have a ATX/MTX) Do You have reinforced ATX motor mounts, If so or if not whats your recommendation for motor mounts (please everyone give there two cents). I've looked at several of the SHO (shops) and can only find them for the MTX. Also are they neede or worth it.

The mounts for the MTX and ATX are entirely different designs. The MTX's mounts are rubber and steel, the rear mount having a safety bolt already installed by the Ford supplier and hte front mount readily available with a safety bolt added by one of several sources. The ATX's mounts are rubber, steel and fluid and there has been no additional reinforcing added to them. They are short, stocky and much more free-moving than the MTX's rather solid mounts. The fluid-filled (hydraulic) ATX mounts were designed several years after the MTX's mounts and perform the functions of supporting and restraining the engine as well as dampening vibrations from being transmitted to the subframe. The Ford, or direct copy aftermarket mounts are your only option.

Sho Nut's reinforced oem mounts. Uses new motorcraft mounts & reinforces them and costs the same or less than oem from your local dealer.

Once again, there is no need to pay extra for a reinforced rear MTX mount because the Ford mount already has the safety bolt installed. You can pay the extra for the reinforced front mount, but the "reinforcing" bolt only gets used when the rubber insulator has already failed (same for the rear mount). The bolt only prevents the engine from rising uncontrolled after the insulator separates. This provides you with some protection after the mount fails before you can replace it, but it doesn't actually make it stronger.
