I have a 94 SHO, 3.2 auto, my fron motor mount gave out, so I ordered one at Oriely's, that mount lasted about 1 week then split toaly in 2 pieces, then I went to Autozone & got a solid front mount & a hydrolic rear, just in case that may have caused the other to go out, the solid mount last about 100 feet then split in 2 & my hood got whacked again. The dealership said this part is totaly discontinued. My engine is not modified, in fact it needs a tune up. Can anyone tell me if I need some kind of special motor mount not being sold in my area, or a charmed one to bless my sho? Also, the aftermarket replacements upper mount holes were too close together in the front and back, I had to drill them out sideways to make them fit.

uuuummmmmm as soon as the holes didnt line up you should have stopped, making it fit is the reason im sure it broke.but maybe you have subframe issues and thats putting more stress on the mounts.if those are bad they also make solid ones of those.mucho mucho improvement

Yea, I recently had trouble finding the right stock replacement motor mounts for a friends car. I thought the rear one I got was right but the holes were too far apart(maybe for an ATX?) and the front one was completely wrong. I think the only sure way to get a right mount is shonut's reinforced ones. I second the notion that they are awesome. They are a little more pricey, but worth it.

I figured, was just raising the point because no one seemed to have caught that part of the original post...

Not reinforced

My mistake, I missed the auto part. Shonut as indicated in the earlier post only has reinforced MTX mounts. They do, however show the stock mounts. Looks like the front one is special order.
