I just finished installing the moogs tonight and im filthy and tired. The rear struts are such a PITA. I ended up cutting 2 coils off the front and rear and it sits perfect. The wheel wells are right over the tires in the front and almost halfway down the tire on the rears. I got a chance to take it for a spin and all i can say is...WOW. The ride is much stiffer and the steering is way more responsive. It steers like a honda....well, kinda. Ill post pics up tomorow.

Now i get to the problem part.. After installing the only front springs my car started acting really weird. I took it for a test drive after doing the front struts/springs, and when i hit the brakes the car dives to one side and the steering wheel turns, almost out of my hand. I finished up and did the rears and it was still doing it. It feels like a caliper is either locked up or not engaging. On the other hand i was thinking that maybe it could be alignment issues. I know its gonna need an alignment now anyway, but.... Have any of you experienced this after lowering your SHO?

You may need to buy adjustable control arms for the rear to get the camber back within specs; I did. I would double check all the brake lines.

2 coils! what struts are you running?!

HEHE...monroes

I guess im gonna pull the wheels off today and try to inspect all the brakes. I looked with it on the ground and i didnt see anything kinked. Maybe i need a caliper.

Maybe the spring lifted out of its seat when you accelerated due to its reduced lenght (this is why helper springs are used on coil over kits.) When you went to brake the spring wasnt seated correctly causing one side of the car to dive funny.

Where the struts up front new? Even if they were new, are you positive they were both good?

If your alignment was good before hand (ie no wierd side dip) and you lowered each side by the same amt., then even if your alignment had changed each side should have changed by the same amt. which wouldn't explain the dive to one side. You should still get an alignment, but be prepared to hear grumblings from the alignment tech due to a lowered car. I would try to do it yourself or find a really good alignment shop, not pepboys or the similar.

Well the allignment will be done monday. I work at a shop with an allignment machine, and the guy who does them is pretty good. I trust him. Im just gonna go for new brake lines and a new caliper. The drivers side was just replaced.

My bet is you stretched a brake line.. Did it when I swapped the suspensions from my 92 to my 95.. I stretched the RR though. Definitley get the Align done first to rule that out..
