from what ive been reading (im in the process of getting ready to purchase too) is that for a good ECO suspension thats good and "cheaper" will be the cut Moogs with sensa trac's.. I drove a SHO with this set up at the convention (granted it has SF connectors and a front strut tower brace) and it rode very nicely... I on the other hand, am not sparing any money on this and am going with intrax and koni's..Yeah, its a lot of coin, but i also have driven a car with these (granted that was not even CLOSE to stock......Jason....) and enjoyed the fact i could adjust my strut and LOVED how it felt once you get them nice and stiff and start playing with it! thats my .02

ALSO, if you havent already, go and replace most of your other components too if they are getting older such as ball joins, sway bar end links, tie rods etc of that nature.. Either way be looking to spend between 500-1500 for a good reliable set up it looks like.

The kyb struts are universally described as junk, so go with the Sensatrac Monroes.

The least expensive, good performance setup will be Monroe quickstruts. Their springs are decent, slightly better than stock. The other springs you mention are going to be quite a bit more money.

I've got to agree with Hamal here. Your other post is the same topic and plenty of folks gave you their opinions on various options; you clearly did not listen to the advice given. In that thread you ask questions like "will someone tell me the cheapest setup" and "do you think 18 inch wheels are too big for a gen 2". Let me advise you something, guy, do some research for yourself - price out the different parts yourself, determine what YOU think looks good. Doing your own research instead of asking everyone else to do your homework for you will not gain you respect, you lose respect. ****, you don't even know any of us so why are you trusting us? You're practically at a point where I'm surprised the NESHO folks haven't told you to bolt 2x4's in your wheel wells to replace your bad struts. Fortunately, they wouldn't compromise the safety of others on the road around you; they would, however, duct tape you to a pole in a parking lot to keep others on the road safe.

Please, please, start using the search function and start doing your own work. I remember people like you in grade school and even in college, asking for answers, looking at my paper, asking for homework, etc; no one likes 'that guy'.

You can not cutt you saggy OE springs.

I don't believe you can get 1.5 from cutting Moogs.

U dont have to be a smart a** to me ok.

Were not being smart *****.. you have NOO idea how many times these questions are asked.. when i did my searched i found out a lot of good information by using the search button, and i made a post if i did not find exactly what i needed.. EVERYTHING ive seen you post before i found in multiple threads in the past..

In short terms, your aren't going to mod a SHO for cheap. At least if you manage to, its not going to be quality at all. So, if you want a car you can beat the S**T out of, but an f-body or mustang.. Much better aftermarket support..

Good luck to you, and remember the search button IS your friend.

I've been holding back, something new I'm trying, but it's not working out well.

Hamal, nor anyone else on this forum, has been an ass to you, regardless of how much you deserve it.

You want to lower your car and get mad handling mods for $400 or less. It ain't gonna happen, and you've been told that, as well as what combinations will work, parts you'll need, etc.

Now this thread comes up. I hardly ever say this to anyone, but searching (in your very own post I might add) yields great results without cluttering the forums with useless ********.

Add this to the many other times you've posted stupid shit, and you start to bring down the cumulative IQ of the forum.

Most of us have been here a long time, had the cars a long time, and know what we're doing. Then there's people like you, who won't listen, tell us your dad's a former SHO mechanic, tell us idiotic stories about top speed runs, and then slam your car into shit "drifting". (translation, BTW, "I am a ***** and don't know how to drive and slammed my shit into a curb omglolzlmaohaha).

Do all of us a favor. Buy Quickstruts and endlinks and install them. I can't imagine you attempting to put a round springy thing on a round bouncy thing with the rubbery thing on top and not hurting yourself, or those around you.

To all of those that have been waiting, consider this my Monday post.

If you need to replace the struts, you probably need or should replace the lower control arm, end links, inner/outer tie rods, and sway bar links. You will already have this shit apart so you might as well change them. You don't want to put it back together and one of them break a month later. You wil be ******** kittens. The cheapest way to get this done is do some searches. Rockauto.com has the monroe quick struts for $111 a piece for the back. All these parts alone will cost you over $700, plus if you are not doing the work yourself labor. Which will be through the roof. I know you are wanting to lower your car, but w/o the right equipment on your vehicle you will really **** shit up. If you don't have the money, and this stuff does need to be replaced. Go with the stock stance with the monroe quick struts. Save yourself a lot of headache and do the mods when you have the money to do it correctly. I just changed the front suspension in the front and rear. Used monroe quick struts have had no problems.
