Has anyone ever shimed their stock rear spoiler off the trunk lid by say 1/4"-1"?

I thought this might look good. Especially if the shiming was done with a slight rake to it. Almost like an enhanced factory look.

The only thing I've ever done with my spoiler is take it off, clean where it was and apply a bead of silicon where it rests on the trunk lid to reduce vibration.

I can't really imagine putting shims in there to lift it off the trunk lid. The spoiler is molded so-to-speak for the trunk lid. If you put shims in there it will lift the spoiler off the trunk lid exposing the underside of it which isn't exactly pretty. I suppose anything is possible though.
