It does look very good indeed. Maybe it is not bent up, but it looks like the grill is installed upside down. If we compare to Mike's grill (bdp1151), his looks like it is parallel to the frame, your looks like they put it reverse within the frame... Do you see what I mean? If you would take the inside grill and rotate it by 180 degrees, it would be parallel to the frame. But, maybe it doesn't show in person and anyways it looks awesome... Just trying to explain the «Bent up» comment...
Cheers!

It looks great Crash! When I installed my grille, I also painted the LED surrounds black but I think it actually still looks really good with the surrounds left silver.
You'll be surprised at how much attention that you will get while driving now, I've had a few dozen people ask me "what type of car is that?" and tons of other people rubber-necking when I drive by, trying to figure out what it is.....

Ok, I just made it through ALL 13 pages of this post. Still no write up on the install of this thing?? :) Come on guys, share the knowledge! I REALLY want to put in an order for a red color matched set for mine (black mesh), but I don't wanna do it until I feel comfortable with what it takes to get the thing on. Anybody write up what they did along the way installing the grill set?

Rebadged the rear and added SHO to my grill.

Been getting serious stare downs. Guy at a restaurant yesterday bout broke his neck turning around to get a look.

Tip for anyone else considering a MB grill. Get a can of flat black spray paint to blackout everything behind the grill. I wish I had done myself, now to figure out a way to do without removing.

Did ms provide the sho emblem? Or did you get it from the oem emblem? How long did it take to get the grill after you ordered?

No they did not, I bought another oem emblem. But I still want theirs when they have available. Mine probably wont hold forever just 2 side tape attaching it. Time frame on a grill, I believe mine took about 8 weeks. So to give you and other who are interested in a grill. You must understand MB is a custom shop, everything is made to order. These grill are not mass produced. Mine at the time of delivery was only the 4th one made. Adam at MB steel is a great guy and will customize your grill any way you like. For me it was a must, it the only thing that sets my SHO apart for looking like just a taurus.

order 5/3 received 6/28

Just ordered mine today. Pam said it will be about 2 weeks. I am doing the white surround and black mesh and picking up in person. I'm trying to decide if I should pay them the $100 to have it installed. They said their two guys can crank it out in an hour. If I did it, I know it will be about 2-3 hours because I haven't pulled this bumper yet. I think I will probably do it so I can replace my license plate plugs. The paint is starting to chip now.

Its not to hard to do. But a little tricky getting the old grills out. But once you get a couple of the tabs released then the rest are a snap. Removing the facia could be easier 3 screws 1 push clip in each wheel well. about 9 screws across the top of the grill 4 bolt and 2 push pins. and about 9 bolts across the bottom. Unplug the puddle lamps and its off. The push clips in each of the wheel wells at the top are the type that have the philps head screw in the middle and if you have dealt with before they don't always unscrew. Best approach with these is to try any turn with applying the least amount of pressure possible. If that don't work then a very small flat head to pry out the center until you can grab with needle nose. Once old grills are out your bumper will be very flimsy and it may appear the new lower doesn't line up. But it does. MB will give you a pack of U clips to hold things in place. Since you are picking up they can better explain on where to place these. Tip for the top grill when installing in bumper. there is a screw on top on either side of the grill install these before placing facia back on car. this will help hold everything in place better. once on car remove and reinstall the remain parts. I consider myself to be a pretty competent mechanic. and took me at least 3hrs. If I did it again maybe a hour.
