So yeah... The CKP didn't come out in one piece. Any idea on how to get the remainder out? I thought about taking the crank pulley out and trying to push it from the inside. That is if I could even get to it from there.

Any ideas or scenarios you have would be appreciated.

Spray it with some PB blaster then use a steel tool to pull it out. It has a magnetic core.

You could also take the oil pan off and push it through. Should drop onto the front of the pan area.

Timing chain installed

I'll see if I can **** it up and get it out. I'm pretty sure it's stuck in there good though. Then I'll do the crank pulley. IF that don't work I'll have to do the oil pan. Fun times ahead I can tell.

You can probably tell it is a piece of plastic with a small magnet in it. Maybe you can drill a hole in it and then thread in a sheet metal screw to help pull it out. Use lots of the PB first.

Yeah there's no way to get a drill up in there. I thought about that but I can hardly get a screw drive up in there. I tried using a 3" extension to pull it out but it doesn't seem to have any magnetism. I used a extension magnet and it didn't seem to grab a hold of it hardly at all. I tried to retap the crank pulley and the metal around the hole just crumbled. SO, I'm going to drill both holes all the way through and retap them. I looked at the oil pan and it seems that I would have to drop the exhaust to get that to come down?

Yes you need to drop the exhaust to get the oil pan off.

You can take the front cover off with the engine in the car. Not too hard and it helps to lower that side of the subframe. I did it a while ago. And it took a couple of hours.

I finally got it out. Didn't fix my issue though. Seems to start a little easier but it's still only running on 1 or 2 cylinders. Guess I'll have to start pulling the valve covers. Maybe it did spin a cam.
