Hi Everyone,
I've been lurking on the Taurus/SHO/Ecoboost forums for a while. I've had a dream of building a "poor man's" SHO by getting a Police Interceptor sedan. I actually prefer the stripper models. I'll take the weight savings over the heated headlight switch and foot massaging floor mats. Once upon a time i had a '96 Ford Contour with the 2.0L Zetec and a MTX. Besides air conditioning and cruise control, it was bare bones. Manual windows! 2,700lbs. (1,600lbs lighter than a SHO!) Man did that thing handle GREAT. A whopping 130HP. LOL!
Anywho, so I was originally thinking of buying a naturally aspirated 3.7L AWD PI model. They are flex fuel so I could run E85. i was also thinking of fabbing up turbo manifolds and blah...blah..blah...I realized that I still don't own a welder and I already have another project car. A 3.5EB PI will have to do.
So her I am, finally crept out of the shadows to so I can see photos and actually converse with everyone.
Later,
Ben
