Eventually I will buy both but I can't decide which one first. The downpipes don't seem too bad to install and 20 hp sounds nice. How big a pain is the meth to install and how often to refill 30-50 hp is what I keep reading but if I can't install that could get expensive. What kind of time improvements have you guys seen with these?

I'd go with the downpipes first, to help with moving the extra boost pressure.

Then I'd go with the hard pipes before meth because the stock system has s hard time holding the extra pressure from higher boost settings.

Meth, is a .4 - .6 gain from an already tuned vehicle...there's a how to floating around the interwebz. Amount of meth used will be strictly dependant on your right foot & the skinny pedal.

Downpipes are definitely the 1st mod that you should make! If you start increasing power creation you need to expel the additional exhaust to avoid a bottleneck effect.

I would pass on hard pipes...a HARD PASS! Do they look cool, yes. Does look cool make you go faster, NO. They will actually harbor more warm air restricting the ability for the turbos to "breathe in" cool air. Our cars that are in the 11's all have factory piping.

Our AlkyControl meth kit is like a 7.5/10 on the install. We encounter several people that incorrectly place a MAP sensor or misrun a line. Really, if you take your time and go step by step you will be fine.

As for the cost of meth, we can't help there lol. BUT, VP M-1 isn't too expensive and as long as you are driving normally it will last quite a while!

I bought DP's first, now going to be installing meth this winter. I wasn't a fan of meth at first, but after taking with a good friend over convention and seeing a meth car run. I changed my mind big time. So it will be a long winter waiting. As for hard pipes, I know of one car that will be in the 11's that has them, HEHE!
