awesome guys. I will get my stuff together here soon and post some directions to my house, phone contacts if you get lost, etc.

so far plan is pretty laid-back for the day's activities.

OCS Speedway for event Sept 6th

Breaking news ... got over to Orange County Speedway today, and got a better look at their track. Should be perfect for a group our size.

We have the track reserved that Saturday (Sept 6th) from 3pm-6pm. Web link is:

Plan will be to gather the herd at my house, and then convoy to the track. It is about 30 minutes away, lots of parking, we will have the place to ourselves.

OCS will provide flagman/EMT, we will do our own race control, safety inpections. Schedule will be for basic set-up, followed by individual runs then some timed runs. We can then follow with 2,4 or 6+ runs of multiple laps. Bring your own helmets. I will need a second for race control, preferably someone who has done this before.

No cost for entry. OCS gave us a great deal, we have it to ourselves. We are making this mostly an SHO event, but I know that we may have some other Taurus & other Ford interest. PM or email me with your info.

awsome. now i might have to bring a diff. car. if you need any help with event running, i'll help out. i'm the cheif of tech for Triad sports car club so i can deff do that. also been in many race events so i'm familiar with all of this.

this is what makes this group so interesting to me. there are a few, maybe more, in this group with considerable racing experience. then there are many like me with none.

this track is very friendly for driving, basically a well-banked oval. we should make some good times/speed and have fun, esp. for the novices.

Actually, I want to make sure that no-one feels pressured to race. For me, I think I love my cars too much to risk them in head-to-head with other cars where they might get damaged, but I am more than happy to run them around the track solo to see what they can do. Besides, the speedway is simply a cool place for those who love cars.

Also, for those who want to do some head-to-head racing, we can do that also. We have some experienced racers in the group. A good mix will make for a good meet.

As of now I'll go ahead and say I'm not going to put the SHO on the track; after playing with my car this past weekend it's not in track shape. But that doesn't mean I'm not down to ride with someone or take over their car Hopefully I'll get to the brakes before the meet, otherwise i'll be bringin the SLO . I'm looking forward to it

we still plan on being there.... maybe i'll bring the turbo and paul can bring old "terry" as we like to call it.... you know you want to see her one more time right Terry? does that mean we get 40$ for bringing two cars ???? if we even bring two that is.... hmm.. it is only like a three hour tour..i mean drive.....yeahhhhh...drive.... then we can have one to tow the other if need be.

we do have members from both states.... that only why i say do something with both if possible, but i am always up to design a sticker or logo for us while at work all day.... throw some ideas out there.

PS... johnathon, just remember, (no offense to the TSHOC members..but you know it is kinda true) sometimes we think there will be like 30 people and only 5 show.... just a thought before you make the drive...we'll make a list of everyone who is definitely going to be there for the meet during next week. and BTW.. it should only take you 6 1/2 hrs.. why does it take you so damn long!!!! lol...
