240SX? BTW, a Lightening is a truck. Or at least a truck that thinks it's a sports car.

you are correct sir. and i think the proper term for the lightning is "sports truck". don't know why i didn't think of that. you said tow and i started thinking of work trucks.

O.K. I guess SVT (that's a Ford designation), possibly a Lightening? HP/TQ numbers seem right.

DING! DING! DING! DING! We have a winner here Johnny! LOL!!! Good lob Curt. I figured anyone would have gotten it after the last response and looks like you were quick on the keyboard. As some folks know, I bought a red Lightning last December. But, I wanted a silver one to match my "Monster" F-150. After months of searching, my wife ends up getting one shipped in from Maryland for me just in time for our anniversary and my birthday.
She likes the red one, since it's stock and quiet. The new silver one is a beast! Built block from Woodbine motorsports, forged crank, CP pistons, Manley rods, stage 3 heads and cam (very aggressive idle) e-fan, full length traction bars, ported Eaton, 8# lower pulley, JLP cold air, adjustable SCT eliminator chip, dual 255 lph fuel pumps, 60# injectors, EGR delete, Dynatech long tube headers, high flow cats, Bassani mufflers, triple pillar gauges, icey res. intercooler tank, Nitto drag slicks, and I know I'm forgetting something. SO now the wife sports the red L and I take the silver L. This thing turning on and running sounds viscious! Gotta be a guy thing, but I fell in love all over again! Needless to say, I wish it had a larger fuel tank! Single digit fuel mileage sux!! That's why the SHO is still sporting around town and getting nearly 20 mpg!

Very nice truck, ****. I think you have too much money! And please leave those poor hemis alone!
Thanks Curt. I had to remove the black rims and slap back on the SVT wheels. Just didn't like the style of them. I also have done several mods personally to it, so the pics aren't up to date so to speak. And money? I don't have enough money! And now I am broke. It's all going to the BP gas stations in the area. :laugh_ti: And as for the Hemi's, they seem to find me. Especially the SRT Chargers. The trucks seem to know better or they just respect the sound. Don't know which. :thumb:

SHO meet in September

one month away ... we are still good to go for a meet at my place in Chapel Hill on Sat Sept 6th.

Dinner will be on me, either cookout in the backyard or, if I get lazy, we go out to Golden Corral or something.

Because gas prices are much higher this summer, I will kick in $20 for anyone who comes from more than 75 miles away (one hour). I am thinking of you guys from Charlotte, W-Salem, eastern NC and southeast VA. Just my little incentive. Thinking about it, the smart among you might actually make money on that deal.

Not much new here. Managed to rip the bra off the 95 ATX in a minor mishap involing another car, a small dog, a hard left, locked brakes (guess the ABS really doesn't work), a guard rail and a 180 spin.

My best regards,:salute:

JD

I won't be able to make this one. The 6th is my G/F's birthday. I forgot that when you originally set the date.

I take it you, the car and the pooch are all OK in the little mishap you talk about John?? Sounds like it was a wild ride for second or two. And you ripped the bra off! Sounds like some strange kind of foreplay to me. :) ****....

motoring mishap

I haven't done that but a few times, it was pretty tight there for a few seconds until the laws of physics brought the car to a stop. Still trying to figure out how I managed to lock up so badly.

I plan on being there with my '93 ATX provided something doesn't happen to it between now and then. Will be coming from Greenville.
