I forgot to clarify, it's of the rear passenger nature. I pulled the wheel off two hours ago... broken endlink. In my parts inventory back at my parents I have brand new (from a few years ago) Moog endlinks. Since I'm heading up there this weekend for my cousin's wedding I'll make time to swap the broken one with the new one. It broke right above the bottom bushing, the clunking is the broken endlink and sway bar not getting along. I've been cranking for an hour or so on the old one trying to remove it, but it's on there good. I've got a pry bar in Richmond I'll use for leverage, shouldn't be bad :thumb:

update on SHO meet Oct 5th

talked with OCS staff again today, we are good to go for the 5th.

see previous postings for directions and contact info.

same plan as before, meet my house 10am-1pm, to track about 2:30pm or so, car safety check and "driver safety" talk by Terry (nc89sho), single laps for speed and time (someone bring a good stopwatch), possibly some multi-car or elimination later.

bring helmets or we can share. you can either race or just watch (no pressure -- seriously). I will probably track my 95 ATX and the 95 MTX. Should be fun, will be my first time on the track period. I should also have my portable tool set if we break something.

Track is paid for 3 hrs done deal. Bring yourself, other friends/family and drivers or cars. We have the whole place to ourselves, no upper limit. Food/drink probably a good idea, I will organize some at this end.

Gas remibursement $20 for all cars who are coming more than 50 miles or so (I will put up more for this than renting the track, I think). We should have a fair number of SHOs as well as a sprinkling of other fast fords.

meet on Oct 5th

OK. Last post before the meet. No changes. email or PM or cell phone me, 919-810-9971.

Washed the white ATX & finished the JBL upgrade (major fitment headache w/ rear tower brace -- about time !

also Jason Larusso installed the new quaifed tranny in the 91 MTX. The blue MTX needs a bath , hopefully before Sun.

I have decided to forget the numbers -- too complicated. I will hopefully remember a few key items:

nametags -- essential
camera
stopwatch -- anyone got a decent one ?
helmet -- have one borrowed one
full tank of fuel
spare tools for track -- got em
food & drink -- anyone w/spare large cooler ?

will sort out most of this Sat eve, Sun AM. See everyone there. PM or email/cell me if you are coming straight to the track, as opposed to my place first.

Dinner in Durham, Outback SH best choice I think, afterwards.

I'll hopefully be getting to your place between 10-11am, John. We'll see how my Saturday night goes, but that's my plan for now ;) . I've already prepared my camera and am picking up batteries tomorrow, filled my gas tank today, already have a trunk full of tools (always do), and if $20 comes my way from John I'll be putting it toward Yuengling and food for everyone. Nametags are a great idea.
Now I just need to fix my broken endlink (been slacking) and wash the car before Saturday night.
I'm pumped :thumb:

quick checklist for anyone wanting some track time sun. these are the requirements for the car:

*No loose items of any kind while on the track
*No missing lug nuts
*suspension must be tight with no play and decent brake pad life
*Batterie must be held down to the point that it cannot move.
*small fluid leaks are ok as long as they don't drip and don't make puddles. (tracks don't like that)
*helmets required, but can be of any kind or certification

just thought i'd pass that along so that everyone could be ready.

I think I can speak for everyone coming in saying "THANK YOU" to JD for setting things up and hosting us. I look forward to putting faces to everyone's postings(good and bad). I'll see you tomorrow. I'll be the tall guy with a cane.

I second that motion! I'm gonna be there even w/ my dead battery. You might see me having to roll the car to pop the clutch a lot tho lol.

Very cool meet!

First off, Big Kudo's to John. He really set up a fun meet and was one of the nicest guy's I met. I look forward to hanging out with this "Crew" in the future.

Terry and the crew at OCS really helped me out at the track. I started off being the slowest car around the track and went to being the 3rd fastest car and 2nd fastest SHO behind Terry, I really owe it to those guy's. I got to get this car on the track more often.

However, I don't think my car is loud enough.

BIG thanks to John for organizing and providing an awesome day :thumb:
I too made it home, got slightly lost at first but still made the trip in normal time... always carry a map ;) Can't wait to get together again, great people and great cars.
I'll get my files uploaded tomorrow morning. I'm a little disappointed in a bunch of my zoomed pictures, but oh well.

Sam's car is not loud enough :nut:
