I've ever been though a hurricane or tropical storm. But from what is posted here it sounds like it would be alot of fun.

Thanks for all the support. We've descided to "hunker down" and ride it out. We're located in Avon, about 800' off the sound. The SHO is back in Hillsborough, hopefully out of danger. Wish us luck!

Just a note to let everyone know that we made it through the storm. Alot of wind and rain, but the worst went west of us. I hope those on the inland made out ok. I talked to my son back in Hillsborough and he said that they got about 6" of rain and some limbs blown down, but no major damage. :thankyou:

I was surprised as to how weak it was. All we got here was some rain and weak wind gusts. A lot of small limbs and leaves down, one tree down in my area of the city, I'm not impressed. The real hurricane came through last night from the Pirate nation destroying WVU

I'm happy for your Pirate's win. I'm still trying to deal with the Redskins showing up for only the 2nd half of thursday game. I can take losing, but it's hard when they act like they're sleeping. Well, we get a 2nd chance in DC later in the season.

Since we're on the subject, I may be heading up to visit yall soon. Something broke the other night while turning into a parking lot. I was driving slow like my 101 year old great-grandma (she stopped driving two years ago ) and when I turned into the lot there was a loud bang/thunk/pop as if something snapped. It sounded like I ran up on the curb but I definitely didn't. Since then there's a clunking going over bumps and on some turns. My struts need to be replaced anyway but for now I'm expecting the problem to be a broken strut mount, spring, or endlink. I'm going to pull the wheel off tonight to look around. Too bad I'm broke But I'll give yall a buzz and let you know in advance if I need to come to the shop

broken spring possible, does is make the noise when you compress either front wheel? other possibility is the front subframe mount where the tension rod connects.
