Folks,

There are still openings available for the May 3rd autocross run by the NESHOC autocross club. Come and learn your car's limits - typical courses are ~ 70 turns, speeds to 65 mph ;-) and close to 2 minutes, with plenty of seat time 8 to 12 runs are the norm.

Any questions please do not hesitate to post them up. Contrary to popular belief these event are not that ******* your car (other than the tires, and there are budget options available, for example 93-95 T-bird 16x7s fit with second hand summer tires).

Sure, stock cars work fine, they actually perform better than some of the modified cars if it rains.

Mine is mostly sotck.

That's OK. I hear that other groups are running elsewhere and that Devens may eventually be developed and the course go buh-bye...

Before Devens can be developed all four surrounding towns (Ayer, Shirley, Harvard, and one other that escapes me) need to agree on what is developed there, as well as the split on property tax revenue. They have tried three or so times to come up with an agreement only to see it voted down by two or more of the surrounding towns. Have not followed it closely, are they reaching another agreement to put to the voters?

What other spots are people running at? Hard to match the wide open runways and runoff room of Devens.

I am going to try to make it for the 3rd and spectate. Going to be in the area and it'd be nice to see some SHO's in action.

Where can I find directions?

I don't see Devens going anywhere anytime soon. The state police use the same runway for their driver training, as well as the hangar in the corner being their parts warehouse.

I couldn't make it due to being on the cape. How was the event? Anyone get pics?

Do I need to register if i'm not placing my car on the track? (i know - stupid question) I have the 31st set aside to check it out. My rear end is not up to par with taking that much abuse or I'd do it. I'm gonna have to wait till Sept. where I'll have a new rear end installed by then.
