well.. anyone gonna be here??!!
...Learned two things today...
1 - A standard (nothing special) small block motor in an old car has a nicer engine than me as it won "Best of Show - Engine". Maybe there were some cleaner looking engines than mine (although mine was clean and shiney) the award should have NEVER gone to who it did (they got three awards today)
2 - A Supercharged Acrua RSX type S is more of a sleeper than a Supercharged Taurus SHO. That makes absolutely no sense. They said is was a toss up between my car and the RSX, but not all of the judges saw my car so they gave it to the RSX... Even though ALL the judges who saw it were all talking about my car for the award.
I'm a little bummed... If a Taurus can't win a sleeper award against a car that was NEVER thought to be a sleeper... I don't even know what to say about that one.

Yeah. Those awards were ***... I felt bad, and i was kind ****** off too> i know were bias. but still. there was no competition between you and that RSX.. It was still fun seeing some cool cars and hanging out with some SHO guys. to bad there wasn't a better SHO turn out..

I would have gone... No, I would have killed to go. But it would have cost me almost 100 bucks in gas for the round trip alone on top of a 6 hour round trip drone of a 4.6 with shorty headers, catless x pipe, and no mufflers... I would have loved to put my GT up against Jason's SHO. I know I would lose but it would be fun to see how 2 cars of similar weight react with only a 130+/- HP difference. I'd pay to see a Taurus get a bus length put on it from 0-60 followed by the Taurus putting a bus length on my full bolt on GT from 60-100. 
Jason, I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with the car show. If I were to have shown up, I would have gladly "bumped" into your competition at 25mph seeing that my front bumper cover is fux0rd anywho (thanks mom!).

It was Jason's SHO, my SHO and Chris rode with Jason. yes. nick ditched us. and I'm out 5 bux too. ha.. its for a good cause so I'm not angry. but i bought an early registration for him cause he said he'd show.. Oh well.. I dropped second next for a loud ass 03+ GT tonight and lost..! 
Morgan laughed and said "he whooped you".. i didn't expect to win. but it was fun.. lol.. My SHO sucked. ha. having it next to Jason's today was kind of an embarrassment. Well.. I just need to get something to drive to fix the SHO...

Those Edge GT's are tricky... I've whopped up on several and I have also gotten my SHO's balls punched in by many. All of which looked/sounded completely stock. Oh well. I am currently awaiting some new parts from a SHOForum member (who strangely ceased all conversation after I sent him the cash) to get my SHO back on the road until I get the new 3.2 brought back home. I was supposed to have picked it up this weekend but shit happens... And in my case, when it rains, it pours.
Can't wait to make another trip back up there and catch up with ya'll. And next time we have a meet, I WILL drive out to Manhattan, KS and force Nick into his SHO at knife point just to be sure he shows up. :theyareontome:

This mustang sounded.......very far from stock.. i had the windows up and my engine at 5k in 2nd.. and i could BARELY hear the SHO... it looked hawt.. We need more boosted SHO's in the NebSHO club....

GF's can be hard to please when they don't care about cars.. ALL THO, i did let morgan drive the SHO around the local HS parking lot.. DAYYYYM i was impressed. HA. i even let her floor it through 1st.. it about torque steered her off into he tennis courts! hha
