MAX AC question

Trying to figure out if my car is working normally or not. When I press the MAX AC button, all that happens is the display shows MAX AC but the temp selector stays where it is and the blower stays where it is. In other words, it doesn't seem to do anything.

I had a '98 Continental and when you selected MAX AC, it would put the temperature down to 60 and select full speed on the blower.

Just wondering if they did the Taurus differently, or if something in mine isn't working correctly.

Mine goes to 60* when i push max A/C except i have no refrigerant so its still 100*

All MAX A/C does is close off the outside vents, and it will only use the main dashboard vents (as opposed to the dash/floor combo for when you have hot feet lol) - at least, that's how it works on my '98.
