I have a chip thats going to sho source for a burn job, I have the option of using the stock MAF or going to the Mark VIII.

My question is at what point will you see any differance on a N/A SHO ?

my engine

1994 3.0 bored to 3.2
new gaskets seals rings and seals
69 MM throttle body
oversized valves, bronze guide, 3 angle valve work
BBB, ported runners, big bore air horns
+20 cams
custom headers, aftermarket cats, free flowing dual exhaust.

I found the 80 mm lightning maf to read much more accurate in the higher rpm band than the stocker. I also have notice a much better throttle response. I would go for one If I were you.

Can't believe you don't have one on already....? That 80mm MAF is going to do wonders as a supporting mod for your list, without it would hinder the rest of your mods.

Definantly get that thing tuned and installed! Right now your stock Maf is a restriction in a way.

On a Cammed/Bolt on engine it's definently going to make a difference. I had a aftermarket 75mm MAF on my SHO, I was not happy with the tune at all on it as down low the car ran like garbage. However up top the car was pulled great.

When I switched back to a stock MAF, The car ran WAY better (A LOT more TQ across the powerband) however I noticed my top end had taken a hit.

I imagine, When I eventually get my car tuned with a 80mm MAF, I'ts going to be a lot better across the board. The old MAF I had (Pro-M) was just not a very good unit for my car.

FWIW, I have a 3.0 With +20's, BBB/EH Intake, Y-Pipe and Custom catback.

it helps big time. it took 2 tenths off my 1/4 time when coupled with a new intake. it also added 2 mph to my trap speed.
