Will the 94 or 95 Lincoln Mark VIII caliper brackets work for the upgrade, or do they HAVE to be the 96+ SHO caliper brackets? Just a thought, as I found a Mark VIII at the JY. Thanks!

You can order brackets for a newer style taurus also and they will work. I think it was like 74 dollars each for brackets off an '03 taurus at the dealer. Kinda pricey but you know they are new.

I've heard otherwise about the newer brackets. Something about clearance issues with rims or some thing mike that. I think Fred H. knows a little more on that aspect.

FN74 is the correct bracket.

If that's the case then the new bracket would work. It says FN74 on it. I did a brake job on an 03 taurus this evening. You prolly have to just use the old bolts? as the new bolts are galvanized and are longer in length.

You are right! I have Brackets off of an 01 Sable, and they are correct. I used the original bolts because the ones from the sable were longer. The 00+ Sable has the right bracket and the 01+ Taurus has the right brackets. I keep hearing all this talk about them not working but then I hear that FN74 is the right bracket. well they say FN74 and they are the right bracket! I've checked!:D
