MAP sensor problem

I recently replaced my valve cover gaskets, thus the removed my intake and couldnt help but noticed that the MAP sensor didnt have a hose on it. Now my questions is, dose that thing have to have a hose leading to somewhere, or dose it just sit there?...........OH ya I got a 92 MTX

It just sits there.

In this application, it isn't a MAP sensor, it's a BARO sensor.
