Im near possitive that my clutch cable is a bit streched, i dont hear any TOB noise, and the clutch and pp were put in when i got the car. So the question is, how do i do a manual adjustment, or is there a site with a walkthrough, where is the quadrent, im probobly staring right at it, but any help would be fantastic. thanks :thumb:

When the clutch pedal is lifted to its limit it hits a small ramp that seperates the cable/quadrant from the pedal/pawl. That allows any tension on the cable to pull the quadrant back to a new adjustment. The cable gets its tension from the pressure plate fingers, so its really the clutch itself pulling back on the cable. Anything worn screws the process up, like a stretched cable, worn pressure plate fingers, worn pivot arm bushings, and a binding throw out bearing. You can manually adjust the clutch tighter, but that basically forces the throw out bearing to be in constant contact with the pressure plate fingers. That allows you to shift again, but it greatly increases the wear on the throw out bearing and pressure plate fingers. That means it will fail much sooner. The manual adjustment is a two person job. Press and hold the clutch pedal down. Then grab the release arm on top of the tranny with a big pair of pliers, clamp, or whatever. Pull the pedal up slowly, only 1 or 2 clicks, then test drive. Repeat as necessary, if you go too far just lift the pedal to reset everything and the start the process over.
