i'm looking to buy a 80mm maf from a fellow sho owner and he said that it requires tunning so I was browsing through caledit and from what I see a MAF transfer table is the table I need to change correct? and where can I get the proper functions for this maf? or should I keep looking for a already tunned maf?

I can't imagine how this couldent be the right table since it has airflow and voltage for the two axis

where can I get the proper table for this maf

What kind of 80mm MAF is it?

The transfer function for a Lincoln 80 MAF can be downloaded from Josh's (SHOnut) website. I could send it to you via email if you want.

That would get you going, if it is indeed a lincoln 80

Further tuing for the MAF requires a bit of datalogging and use of the EEC Analyzer.

Kenny - the MAF in question is indeed a Mark VIII 80mm unit (hence the F3VF part number on the top of the sensor housing). ;)

Alex - here's a link to the 80mm transfer function file that Kenny is talking about:

http://www.shonutperformance.com/MarkVIII80.MAF

When importing this file into CalEdit under the D4U1 strategy, make sure that you lean the entire curve by 20% before finalizing your changes and uploading the calibration file to your TwEECer module. This will work-around the MAF display bug that exists with the current (public) release of the software and allow the EEC to see the correct transfer function values. FYI - this bug will be fixed with the next maintenance release of the software which is due to be out sometime next week.

As for the more long-term, in-depth MAF tuning, Kenny hit the nail on the head re: the EEC Analyzer.
