maf question

anyone know if it is posable to use a diff maf housing for a cai set up ?

I've heard of some people using the cobra MAF's... but that's just what I heard.. never seen it in person.

Any different MAF will need an adjustment with a tune. But there is little to be gained by using anything other than stock.

i dont wanna switch maf ... just the housing to accomidate a nicer cai ... so i just need a sample tube .. was hoping i could put my sensor on ait and be good ....

The CAI I used was 4" before the MAF, 3" after to the TB. This was with a stock 3" MAF and a 4" adapter.

the main probolem i am having is the 4 bolts on the stock maf .. makes it imposable to put a filter on it .. i dont wanna drill out a filter to get it to fit

You really should not have the filter directly on the MAF anyway. That is a HAI,

yeah i know actually i was wanting to run a pipe from the maf to the fender .. but seems i cant just use a coupler .. i could dremmel the edges off but would like to keep the original for what ever ...

They sell MAF adapters that bolt right to it. Look on Mustang sites for the 80mm x 4" adapters.
