maf codes

my car started jerking today and stalling at an idle my engine light came on and then went off .. i read my codes .. i got ...157..158 key on...159 car running.. what would cause this ???? .. does this mean i need a new maf .. i checked my connections and cleaned the maf reset the comp. and still have the codes :cry:

MAFs go bad. Sounds like yours did.

Unplug the MAF and see if the engine runs correctly with no MAF. If so, the MAF is not working.

THANK YOU..... it must have been bad i threw on a 92 continental maf on it went away
