I got an idea today that I'm going to look into. I'd like to machine my injector bosses to accept a more common injector, such as the ones used on the 2.3 and 5.0 Fords. Has anybody ever pursued something similar?

I didnt machined them , I drilled.

It was to mate with ford racing 30 pounders , and it worked.

But you will have better results with machining. With drilling it doesnt make them as smooth as I wanted but they didnt leak.

I used a 1/2 drill bit then finished it off with a dremel for my Ford 42lb'rs.
I was able to get it very smooth doing it this way,no leaks.

Any drill press with a decent vise can be used to "machine" the holes. You just need the right bit...

I brought in the correct size reaming tool/bit and had a machine shop do mine. I finished it up with the a Dremel and a polishing wheel.
