Low oil level sensor/sender leak

This thing has ben leaking since I got the car. Now it's the last seal other than the oil cooler seal that I havn't replaced. I've pulled it apart a couple different time and RTV'd it, but it just keeps on a leaking.

I know you can get a replacement sensor from F***, but what does that consist of? Is it the wire also? What have you guys done to stop the leak?

I thought about getting a plug that would thread into the pan. Toughts??

There is a separate sensor and gasket, both of which [were] still available from F*** the last time I checked. Try replacing the gasket first.

Is the gasket the blue tube type piece that goes between the sensor and the housing?

The oil is coming out of where the wire goes into the sensor.

You need to change the sensor. That wire you see, is actually the male-terminal for the sensor, that the female-terminal/connector connects to.

The gasket is a rubber and metal washer that fits and seals around the sensor. It was only a couple dollars last time I replaced it. It is easy to pull, a new gasket requires no RTV and doesn't leak!

Any one have part numbers for these? yes, I'm lazy, and the Ford parts guy is below par, more so than most.

Ford guy say's $58, Josh has them for $40.

I really want to just plug the sob.

You only need the gasket, Josh has the gasket for under $4.00.
