The bad:
This car sat for long while. The last time I attempted to drive it, the rusted brake lines gave up the fluid. I have a baby on the way and no time to fix it. Time to pass it on.
Needs TLC. Cannot be driven until brake lines are repaired – must be towed away
• Minor rust starting above rear wells and near fuel door
• A/C non-functional
• Headliner sagging in rear

Do you need a turn-key car that can be driven across the country tomorrow? This car is NOT for you.

Do you want a car that can be fixed up and eventually driven? Need a bunch of parts for your car? Wanna make some extra money parting out a car? How about a low mile powertrain for a sweet sandrail project? This car IS for you.

$1300 OBO

Price reduction

Haven't had any serious offers, so either I am overpriced (shame on me) or I am too honest in the description (no shame). I have only listed this car HERE. I don't want to deal with the craigslist crowd and want this car to find a good home with a true SHO enthusiast.

So, I have decided that I will let the car go for a reduced price of $800 - firm. If the car doesn't sell at this price within a week or so, I am going to donate it. I don't want to see it become scrap metal, but it must go.

A few FAQ's that have come up lately:

Any other major issues with the car besides the brake lines?
- Not that I am aware of. I drove this car up until the day the brake line burst. I noticed the airbag light is on the last time I started it. Probably just a sensor but I did not troubleshoot it.

How does the engine run?
- GREAT. Starts right up and purrs. No trouble codes.

How is the clutch?
- Fine. It was professionally replaced at 54k miles. There is a squeak noise when depressed, but I believe it is just the cable or fork pivot that need some ****, since it never did this when I was driving it regularly.

How is the trans?
- Not bad but could probably use synchros to be great. It will briefly grind reverse if you jam it in without first dipping it into 1st.

Yeah. It's the towing that makes it more challenging of a sale I think. Nice looking car for short money

Priced Right! Personally to far for me tho....
The One major flag is....."78,405 original miles"
Being a 1993 its got all signs that it should be 178,405 miles not 78,405 miles
The year, the rust, the cluster, new clutch at "54K Miles", Full 60K done, most front end parts replaced, struts, ect..ect...
You need a carfax to prove the miles.
Not suggesting you tampered with the miles just stating the obvious:shrug: STILL PRICED RIGHT REGARDLESS! GLWTS

Great looking car with lots of good things done to it. Fairly radical interior.
Good luck with the sale.

That brake line can often be fixed for around $100.00 by a corner garage (not a dealership). And often you can squeeze off the line well enough to get it there, using the front brakes.

Very true. I have a AAA card for just such occasions but I know most people want to drive a car home.

Thanks for the feedback. You are right about the low mileage being a flag. The car came from Wisconsin, where there were annual inspections and mileage recordings so it can be verified for the earlier years. I bought it in 2003 and it was not my daily driver so it didn't add up much over the years.

Anyone who wants to run a CarFax, the VIN is 1FALP54Y3PA194569

Sold

Thanks to everyone for the feedback and interest! As of last weekend, the car is no longer available.

Sad to see it go, but it was time to pass the torch.
